The Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the world’s largest pre-college STEM competition, organized by Society for Science. It brings together high school students from around the globe to present their independent research in various scientific disciplines, competing for nearly $9 million in awards, prizes, and scholarships. In 2024, the fair will be held in Los Angeles, California from May 11-17.
Eligibility & Participation:
- Who: High school students (grades 9-12) who have won top prizes at ISEF-affiliated regional, state, or national science fairs.
- Projects: Students may submit a single project involving up to 12 months of continuous research. There are numerous categories including biomedical engineering, robotics, chemistry, and more.
Awards:
- ISEF features numerous award categories, including First Awards of $5,000, with some top finalists receiving major prizes like the Gordon E. Moore Award for $75,000.
Finalists also get the opportunity to present their projects to a global audience and connect with other young innovators from over 80 countries
